Hi, I’m Shawna!
I am a life-long lover of art and creative expression, and the artist behind Studio 31:25. Inspired by my faith, love of nature, and obsession with color, it’s always been my hope to bring joy to others through pieces created with love and reverence.
The daughter of an artist and granddaughter of a quilter, it was only natural for me to gravitate towards a creative career and life. After pursing my degrees in Studio Art, Psychology, and Business, I took a brief break from art-making to jump start my full-time career in Marketing and Advertising!
Now, I have have the privilege to work in a full-time role I love, while also continuing my professional career as a working artist.
My Work
My debut solo exhibition in 2016 featured strictly Abstract Expressionist work, exploring the intersection of faith, identity, and purpose through bright color and bold stroke movements. Since then, my love of pure color and texture has not waned, but I seek to bring that freedom and expression into more concrete depictions of life and creation.
My Inspiration
It is my sincere desire that all would come to know the original Creator, but whether or not we share a faith, I hope we can at least share a mutual awe of the beautifully made world around us. I am grateful every day for the opportunity to enjoy as much life as I am given, and to share its joy through a colorful and lively lens. May my work help you experience a still moment in time, where you can take a deep breath of fresh air in your lungs and find peace in your soul, as it does for me.
